Improvements to teaching and educational practices in schools have been a very topical issue for the last few years, but it is now no longer just a matter for teachers. This was evident on Friday, 15 March, when the Paranimf Hall of the University of Barcelona was filled with teachers and architects attending the seminar Nous espais, nous aprenentatges (New Spaces, New Learning), organised by the Architects’ Association of Catalonia, the Bofill Foundation, and the Ministry of Education.
On 28 March, the exhibition 'Letters to the Mayor' opens at the Association’s headquarters in Plaça Nova, representing a kaleidoscope of Barcelona in the form of 70 letters from architects and professionals in other disciplines associated with the creation of value for the city.
To prepare the project—curated by Ricardo Devesa, Xavier González and Núria Moliner—architects and other professionals were asked to write a letter, on paper, to the Mayor of Barcelona, expressing their feelings, concerns and interests in relation to the city.
