Improvements to teaching and educational practices in schools have been a very topical issue for the last few years, but it is now no longer just a matter for teachers. This was evident on Friday, 15 March, when the Paranimf Hall of the University of Barcelona was filled with teachers and architects attending the seminar Nous espais, nous aprenentatges (New Spaces, New Learning), organised by the Architects’ Association of Catalonia, the Bofill Foundation, and the Ministry of Education.

On 28 March, the exhibition 'Letters to the Mayor' opens at the Association’s headquarters in Plaça Nova, representing a kaleidoscope of Barcelona in the form of 70 letters from architects and professionals in other disciplines associated with the creation of value for the city.

To prepare the project—curated by Ricardo Devesa, Xavier González and Núria Moliner—architects and other professionals were asked to write a letter, on paper, to the Mayor of Barcelona, expressing their feelings, concerns and interests in relation to the city.

The Historical Archive of the COAC is commemorating its 50 years of existence in 2019. With more than two million documents, spread between over 150 collections from different architectural practices, two photographic archives and various collections of images, plans and maps, the Archive has become a point of reference not only in Catalonia but also in Europe for studying Catalan architecture and the international influence of Catalan architecture firms.

Innovació social a l’habitatge” amb la presència de Jonathan F. P. Rose.

El Col·legi d'Arquitectes vol apropar l’arquitectura a l’educació, i encara més des de l'aprovació de la Llei de l’Arquitectura, on es defineix l’arquitectura com activitat d’interès general al servei de la societat. ArquiEscola és el programa educatiu adreçat a centres educatius de primària i secundària amb què el COAC posa a disposició dels docents un seguit de recursos perquè es pugui treballar l'arquitectura de manera transversal.

El sábado 6 de abril la Agrupación de Arquitectos para la Defensa y la Intervención en el Patrimonio Arquitectónico (AADIPA) llevará a cabo una caminata por el Parque de Collserola, organizada con la colaboración de la Asociación de Vecinos de Vallvidrera, la Asociación Can Pujades y Amigos de Collserola.

Durante esta caminata conoceremos un patrimonio muy variado en épocas, estilo y topologías, muchas veces olvidado y que os proponemos que descubrir.
