From June 22 to August 8, 2022, the exhibition "Geometries" Josep Piqué Iserte can be seen at the COAC Tarragona.

“His training as an architect accompanied him throughout his life and, in one way or another, permeated his artistic work. This symbiosis aroused the interest of the Board of the COAC-Tarragona, and together we undertook the project of a unique exhibition, as it shows us a whole set of works by Josep Piqué where the pure geometric shapes and the geometrization of reality that we find persistently in his creative trajectory.
With various geometric concepts, Josep Piqué orders the composition, constructs volumes, projects shadows, structures spaces and objects, natures and landscapes, human faces and absolute abstractions. The essentiality of the line, the triangle, the spiral and other figures with geometric roots provide the alphabet for personal expression. Our task has been to select the works that speak to us with this synthetic language, which the artist feels as his own and in which, of course, training as an architect has a direct influence and relationship. ” M.
