Exhibition “LA SEU DE MANRESA, 700 ANYS / De Berenguer de Montagut a Gaudí”
Casa Lluvià is hosting, from 16 September to 10 October, the exhibition “LA SEU DE MANRESA, 700 ANYS / De Berenguer de Montagut a Gaudí”, curated by Fermí Bataller and Francesc Rafat.
The exhibition begins with the 3D modeling of the constructive evolution that Fermí Bataller created for the documentary “La Seu de Manresa, set segles de vida”, which can also be seen in the same room. Using 3D printing technology, models of the different construction periods of the basilica of Manresa have been made, from the Romanesque church of the 12th century to the current basilica.
This work also wants to be a small tribute to Berenguer de Montagut, the master builder, of whom we know so little, but who seven centuries ago conceived this temple and put all his knowledge at the service of the city that trusted him.
The exhibition is complemented by a book-catalog that can be purchased at the COAC headquarters in Manresa (price: 10 €).
